The Hobbit Jewelry - Elven Rings, Necklaces & Brooches

Updated on July 25, 2012

Toady we are going to be taking a look at some Hobbit jewelry. If you are into Elven rings, themed necklaces and elegant little pieces that will light up any occasion then this page is for you. We take a look at new official Hobbit jewelry to be released to coincide with the release of the Hobbit moves.

In 2012 Peter Jackson unleashes his long awaited sequel to the Lord Of The Rings. The anticipation for this movie is huge and lots of different companies are bringing out merchandise ranging from Lego sets to wallpaper, from giant statues to jigsaws, from chess sets to plushie toys. Pretty much every product you can think of will be coming out with a Hobbit theme. Another product line we are going to see is jewelry. We will see rings, necklaces and a whole host of other exciting pieces, so let’s take a look at some of them.

The One Ring

The Hobbit Jewelry

The fact is that jewelry based on Tolkien’s work is nothing new. When the Lord Of The Rings movies came out there were several lines of jewelry based on the movies and some of these were really popular. This time around though we are going to see lots more products flooding the market. No doubt there will be lots of companies trying to get in on the action but the one we are going to look at today is called Badali Jewelry. They have the official licence to base some of their new line on things taken from The Hobbit. So let’s take a look and see what kind of thing we can expect from them.

First up then the one that everyone will be after, The One Ring. This is of course the theme of the LOTR story but the ring actually first makes it’s appearance in Gollum’s Cave part way through the Hobbit book. So naturally Badali are bringing out a version of this. The ring looks just as it does in the films, it has the beautiful language markings clearly written on the outside. You can get this in 10k, 14k, 18k or 22k gold or if you prefer you can have a silver or a platinum version.

Another popular line are the three Elven rings. These are Narya which belongs to Gandalf, Vilya who is owned by Elrond and then Nenya which is worn by Galadriel. Each of these rings come in yellow gold, white gold, silver or platinum. They are beautifully designed to look just like the originals and they are top quality pieces that should please any fan of Tolkien’s work.

Along with these very classical rings there are also some based on characters from the film. For instance you can get a Gollum ring which comes in silver or gold, this is a very nice piece which sees Gollum wrapped around your finger in a unique pose. Another new one is the Smaug ring, this has Smaug clutching the Arkenstone and again can be bought in either silver or gold.

The Arkenstone Necklace

Hobbit Necklaces

If rings are not your thing then how about a Hobbit necklace. A rather unusual piece is the Bag End necklace. This comes in silver, 14k gold, yellow bronze or white bronze. The necklace features a little circular green door which is of course the entrance to Bilbo’s home at Hobbiton. You can also get this piece made as a keyring. Another nice new piece they are releasing is Thror’s Key on a necklace. This looks like a stunning piece in silver and will be very much sought after by collectors.

If you want something a little more elegant then what about the Arkenstone necklace. This again comes in silver, gold or white gold. The necklace features the Arkenstone being clutched in the claw of Smaug. This is a really nice piece that will be very popular. The necklace comes with either a black leather cord or if you prefer a silver plated chain.

Another really stunning necklace is the Smaug crystal wrap. This one has been around for a few years now and has always been popular. The design features Smaug wrapped around a crystal which he clings onto. This one can be purchased in either silver or white gold.

More Jewelry Released

Of course Badali are not only limited to bringing out rings and necklaces. One popular item they have released is a replica of the Arkenstone. This was previewed at Comic Con 2012 and seemed to go down very well with fans. The item is made from K9 crystal and has a special plating which makes it look like it is glowing. The crystal is presented in a wooden box designed to look like it has been made by the dwarves. With a retail price of around $80 it could be a big seller for Badali.

Badali also produce some nice brooches and pins. For instance they do one based on the Eleven leaf that Pippin and Merry were wearing when carried of by the Uruk-Hai in the Two Towers. You can also buy some nice pins based on all the different movies. There are quite a few other items that the company also make and fans really should be spoilt for choice.

As you can see there is a massive range of Hobbit jewelry coming out. Although Badali are the company with the official licence we are likely to see other companies bringing out items both good and bad. If you are a fan of The Hobbit or the LOTR then you should be able to find a piece of jewelry that suits your needs. We are also expecting Badali to bring out more new stock in the run up to the second Hobbit film which comes out at the end of 2013, when we have more news of this we will update the page for you.
